I do like this, and In "flowers on a cross" an image of a grave today with lovingly placed bunch of flowers on it came to mind. But torn curtain, not yet surely? MT
Luke 23:45 '…and the Temple curtain was torn across' – a reference to the tearing of the curtain at the moment of Jesus' death, with an intended pun on the 'curtain' at a theatre, hence the hushed audience waiting the next act.
Yes of course, My poor brain was befuddled late at night, and the link between curtain and audience sailed over my head. Rereading it properly and it becomes quite perfectly obvious and is really rather quietly excellent
